Faris A. Ashkar is a native of Lebanon, learning his crafts and woodcarving at an early age form a local craftsman and his father. He has resided in the United States since 1968 and became a citizen in 1977, with his work being displayed in numerous homes, offices, churches and businesses throughout the United States and abroad.
His Arabic Calligraphy designs, work with native American hardwoods – including walnut, birch, maple and oak – has made his designs a fixture point of homes and offices of many of his clients.
